However, that may change soon as Microsoft plans to ease things for those who want to change the default apps on Windows 11. Compared to Windows 10, the newer operating system complicates the process for users who wish to use third-party applications instead of Microsoft's default offerings. Microsoft's management of app defaults in Windows 11 has received consistent criticism.
